About two years ago my daughter discovered the incredible writings of Jane Austen. While at my mother's house, Lauryn discovered Pride & Prejudice on her bookshelf. It was the summer before her seventh grade year and while it was at first a struggle, she truly enjoyed her encounter. Over time she has read Pride & Prejudice four times drawing more and more from it each time! When PBS aired all of the Jane Austen novels on Masterpiece theater, we eagerly looked forward to each airing.
This year we are using Chapter 11 (Lauryn's favorite chapter) as our source for dictation and today on her birthday we are watching her newly acquired Pride & Prejudice movie. This would be her second one...the British version with Colin Firth. This one is my favorite version and I think hers too!
